HELP!

I can’t see any samples, where are they?

Samples are located on every song page. If you don’t see them it’s possible there is an issue with your computer.

You could try the following, if this doesn’t work please feel free to contact me and I will send you some samples to download onto your computer:

1. Uninstall the version of Flash you’re currently running (even
if you recently upgraded to the latest version). You can do so here:

2. Then download the latest version of Flash:
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

3. Exit your browser completely, then install the version of Flash you
just downloaded.

4. Finally, check in IE to make sure JavaScript’s enabled (turned on).
Java & JavaScript serve very different purposes, so make sure you have
JavaScript in fact turned on. You can learn how to do so here:

What kind of files are the videos?

Tutortunes videos come as iphone friendly mp4 files with with the following specs:

How do I get the songs?

Individual Songs are downloaded from a link sent immediately after payment.

You can buy more than one individual song by adding to the cart and then return shopping.

You will receive an email with a download link for every song purchased when buying songs individually.

If purchasing Tutortunes Complete Collection you receive a download link immediately after payment along with an access code to create a 6 month membership at Tutortunes.com. Once logged-in you can download songs individually and new songs for a period of 6 months.

How do I open the zip file that I have downloaded?

PC users should be able to double click the zip and drag or copy the folder inside to another location and then access the files inside.

Alternatively right click the zip file and select Extract all from the drop down menu and follow the prompts.

If you get an error message or file corrupted message it’s possible you have not downloaded the entire zip. Try re-downloading it.

My computer does not open the video files.

You may not have a player that can play mp4 video files. Players can be downloaded from either quicktime or videolan

I can only hear the audio, the video does not work.

The video is opening in a player that does not read mp4 video. Install one of the following and be sure to open Tutortunes videos with the new player. quicktime or videolan. You might have to right click and ‘open with’ if a different media player is the default.

Can I buy a hard copy of Tutortunes instead of a download?

If you would prefer a hard copy of the songs contact me with your address and I’ll send you a copy on data CDR. This will incur a surcharge of $10 plus postage.

I’m a teacher, can I copy the songs and give to my students?

Unfortunately current licensing does not allow for this. To keep Tutortunes reasonably priced for all users only Single User licenses are currently issued. I do offer an affiliation payment for Teachers recommending students purchase the songs. Please contact me for details.

I’m a teacher, can I copy the printouts and give to my students?

Yes, absolutely, I recommend you do this to help fit Tutortunes into part of your lesson plans.

Do the videos have DRM restrictive coding?

No, I believe DRM is a false security measure that only serves to inhibit the users experience!

The website is taking a long time to load!

While the site is growing I can only afford a shared server and so, at busy times, it can be a little sluggish. If it becomes simply intolerable please shoot me an email and perhaps I can send you the song/songs you’re after by another means.

How often are new songs created?

Composing , recording and producing the videos can be time consuming. I always aim to get at least one new song out a month.

Can my students have discounted membership to the site?

Most definately . Email me with how many students you have and I will send you some coupon codes.
